Law Enforcement
 
Law enforcement personnel are part of the Combined Public Safety Department (Public Safety).

The City of Cascade Locks contracts with Hood River County Sheriff to provide basic police services in Cascade Locks. The Sheriff's business office is in the City of Hood River.

Ordinance Enforcement
The City employs a part-time Ordinance Enforcement Officer to assist the City Administrator in enforcing City ordinances. This includes land use, nuisance, traffic and parking ordinances. Violations are cited into the City's Municipal Court, which was established in 2004, and is presided over by Judge William Nix.
